Trustindex has three paid plans and they differ by one thing only: how many websites you put widgets on. Single is $65 a year for one domain, Pro is $125 a year for five, and Ultimate is $349 a year for unlimited domains. Every one of them includes unlimited widgets, unlimited views and unlimited reviews across 133 review platforms. So the plan question is not a features question. It is a count of your websites.
That makes Trustindex unusual in a category where almost everything else is metered. Elfsight prices on widget count and monthly views. Loox and Okendo price on Shopify orders. Boast and VideoAsk price on responses collected. Trustindex picked the one axis that does not grow when your marketing works, which is worth understanding before you compare it on headline price alone.
Every figure below was read from the Trustindex pricing page on September 9, 2026, not from a directory listing. That matters here more than usual, because most of what ranks for this query is aggregator pages that are one price change behind.
How much does Trustindex cost?
| Plan | Price | Domains | Widgets | Views | Reviews |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0, described as usable forever | 1 | Limited feature set | Limited feature set | Limited feature set |
| Single | $65 a year | 1 | Unlimited | Unlimited | Unlimited |
| Pro | $125 a year | 5 | Unlimited | Unlimited | Unlimited |
| Ultimate | $349 a year | Unlimited | Unlimited | Unlimited | Unlimited |
All three paid tiers carry the same 133 review platforms and the same automatic review download. There is no feature gate between Single and Ultimate that we could find, which is why the comparison collapses so cleanly. Trustindex also runs a 7 day trial with no card required and a 30 day money back policy.
One structural detail is easy to miss and it changes how you budget. There is no monthly billing. Plans are sold as a year of subscription and updates, paid up front, renewing automatically after the first year. So the real comparison against a monthly competitor is $65 today rather than $5.42 a month, and if you are the person who reconciles the card statement, an annual software renewal is the single easiest charge to forget you agreed to. Teams that track software spend properly tend to catch these at renewal; everyone else finds them fourteen months later.
What Trustindex does not charge for
This is the part the aggregator pages skip, and it is the actual argument for the product.
On the $65 plan, a site serving two million widget impressions a month costs the same as a site serving two hundred. There is no view ceiling to size against, no seasonal peak to price around, and no scenario where a good traffic month turns into an upgrade prompt. In a category where view caps are the normal meter, that is a genuine structural advantage rather than a marketing line.
The same applies to widget count. You can put a Google reviews slider on the homepage, a Facebook reviews grid on the about page, a badge in the footer and a filtered wall on a landing page, all on Single, all for $65 a year. Vendors that meter widgets would price that at four widgets.
And review volume is uncapped, which matters for businesses that already have thousands. If you run a multi location restaurant group with 4,000 Google reviews across profiles, downloading and displaying all of them costs nothing extra.
The add-on cost that is not in the plan price
There is a second meter, and it does not appear on the plan comparison. Trustindex sells premium add-ons priced per source, per year: Automatic AI Reply at $29 per source per year, and Google Business SEO Analysis at $29 per source per year.
A source here is a connected review profile, not a website. That distinction is where a multi location business gets a surprise. Consider a dental group with nine offices, so nine Google Business Profiles. The plan itself is fine: one website, so Single at $65 covers it. But turning on automatic AI replies across all nine profiles is nine sources at $29, which is $261 a year on top of a $65 plan. The add-on is four times the subscription.
| Business shape | Domains | Sources | Plan | With AI Reply on every source |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Single location service business | 1 | 1 or 2 | $65 | $94 to $123 |
| Ecommerce brand, one site, several review platforms | 1 | 4 | $65 | $181 |
| Nine office dental or medical group | 1 | 9 | $65 | $326 |
| Agency with five client sites | 5 | 5+ | $125 | $270 and up |
| Agency with twenty client sites | 20 | 20+ | $349 | $929 and up |
None of this is hidden, but no roundup states it, and the domain count you use to pick a plan is not the number that drives the add-on bill. Price the add-ons separately or decline them; the core display product works without either.
Trustindex pricing vs Elfsight pricing
These two get compared constantly because they overlap on the reviews widget, and they are priced on opposite axes, so the winner flips depending on your traffic rather than your feature list.
| Situation | Trustindex | Elfsight | Cheaper |
|---|---|---|---|
| One site, 3,000 monthly views, one widget | $65/yr | Basic, $6/mo yearly, $72/yr | Roughly a tie |
| One site, 60,000 monthly views, one widget | $65/yr | Pro, $12/mo yearly, $144/yr | Trustindex, by $79 |
| One site, 400,000 monthly views | $65/yr | Enterprise T2, $56/mo yearly, $672/yr | Trustindex, by $607 |
| Five client sites, low traffic each | $125/yr | Separate plan per site | Trustindex |
| One low traffic site needing feeds, forms, chat and reviews | $65/yr plus other tools | 96 Apps Pack, $18/mo yearly | Elfsight |
The pattern is simple once you see it. Trustindex wins on traffic, Elfsight wins on variety. If reviews are the only widget you want and your pages are busy, the uncapped annual plan is hard to beat. If you want a dozen different widget types on a quiet brochure site, one Elfsight subscription is cheaper than assembling the equivalent. We broke the tier ladder and the view caps down in full on our Elfsight pricing page, including the promotional prices most roundups have copied as list prices.
If your comparison is really Trustindex against a review platform rather than a widget vendor, that is a different question with a different answer, and we covered it in Trustindex vs Trustpilot.
Which Trustindex plan do you need?
Count websites, then stop. Almost nothing else changes the answer.
One website: Single, $65. Traffic, widget count and review volume are irrelevant to this decision because none of them are metered. The only reason to go up is a second domain.
Two to five websites: Pro, $125. Note the break point. At two domains you are already paying $125, which is $62.50 per site, so the second site costs you $60 and the third, fourth and fifth cost nothing. If you are at two and expect a third, there is no penalty for sitting on Pro.
Six or more: Ultimate, $349. The jump from $125 to $349 is triggered by one site crossing the fifth. At six domains that is $58 per site, and at forty it is $8.73. Agencies land here quickly, and the per site cost keeps falling, which is the plan doing what it was designed for.
The subdomain question comes up often enough to name. A domain limit counts domains, so if you run a marketing site and a separate help center on a subdomain, check how the license treats it before you assume one plan covers both. The 7 day trial is the cheap way to confirm rather than guess.
When the price is not the thing to compare
Everything above assumes the job is displaying reviews you already have. Trustindex is good at that and priced sensibly for it. It downloads from 133 platforms and renders the results on your site, which is a real and useful job.
It is worth being precise about what that does not include, because it is the most common mismatch we see people buy into. An aggregation tool cannot produce a testimonial that does not already exist somewhere public. If you have eleven Google reviews and none of them mention the thing you actually sell, no widget subscription fixes that, at $65 or at $349. The reviews you need are the ones a specific customer would give you if you asked, and public review platforms are a bad place to ask, since a prompt to leave a public review is a request for a generic sentence from someone in a hurry.
Three things sit outside what a display widget does at any price. Video, because a customer will not upload a file to a review site but will hit record in a browser for sixty seconds. Attribution, because a named role and company is what makes a business to business quote persuasive and a star rating is not. And consent, because a published quote from a customer needs a record of permission attached to it, which matters in regulated work and is simply good practice everywhere else.
So the honest sequencing is this. If you have plenty of public reviews and need them on your pages, buy a display tool and Trustindex is a reasonable one. If your problem is that you do not have enough good proof yet, start with automated testimonial collection, get to twenty or thirty specific, attributed testimonials, and then the display question becomes worth spending money on. Plenty of sites end up doing both, importing existing reviews through a Google reviews widget while collecting new named testimonials directly.
If you have already decided Trustindex is not the fit, our Trustindex alternative page covers what changes when collection and display live in the same flat plan.
Is Trustindex free?
There is a free tier that Trustindex describes as usable forever, with a limited feature set, and a separate 7 day trial of the paid features that does not ask for a card. The free tier is the right way to confirm that your reviews import cleanly and that a widget looks correct on your template. It is not the plan a live business page should run on long term, and the paid entry point at $65 a year is low enough that the decision is usually quick.
Does Trustindex have monthly billing?
No. Every plan is sold as one year of subscription and updates, paid in advance, renewing automatically after the first year. There is a 30 day money back policy, so the risk on the first purchase is bounded, but you should treat $65, $125 or $349 as an up front cost rather than a monthly line item when you compare it against vendors that bill monthly.
Does Trustindex limit how many reviews you can show?
No. Reviews, widgets and views are unlimited on all three paid plans, including the $65 Single plan. The only limit that changes between tiers is the number of domains you may install on. This is the main reason a high traffic single site often pays less on Trustindex than on any view metered competitor, and it is the fact worth carrying into any comparison you run.
