Refund Policy
Applies from 14 October 2026
Payments to Testimonials are final. We return a charge only in the three cases under "Three cases where a charge comes back", and you are always free to turn off renewal yourself so that nothing further is billed.
Your plan covers a billing period
Every Testimonials plan is a subscription paid in advance, monthly or yearly, in US dollars, with the features listed on the pricing page. You are paying for the collection forms, the wall of love, the widgets and the rest of the plan to be open to you for the period. You are not paying per testimonial collected, per video or per embed, and the plan is fully available from the first day of the period whether you collect one story or hundreds.
By subscribing you ask us to begin providing the service at once and you accept that any statutory right of withdrawal or cooling-off period ends once we have started.
Three cases where a charge comes back
- Duplicate payment. Our billing charged you more than once for the same period.
- Unauthorised payment, evidenced. Your card was used without your consent, you report it within 14 days of the charge, and the payment and account records support the report. The evidence decides, not the report by itself, and we may ask you to confirm the matter was reported to your card issuer.
- Complete failure of the service. A confirmed fault on our side left Testimonials wholly unusable for an uninterrupted period, you told us while it was happening, and we were unable to resolve it. Slow loading, a single widget not rendering on your site, partial faults and issues with your own website, theme or browser are excluded.
A refund in one of these cases is the full extent of our liability, is limited to what you paid for the period affected, and is returned only to the card that was charged. A refund granted once gives no right to another.
Requests we decline
- You changed your mind or no longer need a testimonial tool.
- Your customers sent few or no testimonials during a paid period, or you did not set up a form or a widget.
- A widget does not match your design the way you wanted, or a site builder or plugin on your side blocks the embed.
- Reviews imported from another platform were limited by what that platform makes available.
- A renewal was charged, including one collected after earlier attempts failed.
- You took the plan for a one-off purchase. The pricing page, checkout, confirmation email and account all state that it renews.
- You forgot to cancel before the renewal date, or cancelled just after it.
- A feature is not described on the pricing page or works differently from your assumption.
- You picked the wrong plan or billing term.
- Another person used your account, including someone you shared your login with.
Cancelling
You can cancel at any moment from your account, without contacting us. Cancelling takes effect for every future renewal straight away. It does not reverse a payment already made: your plan runs until the end of the paid period, and the remaining time is never refunded or pro-rated. Cancelling is not a refund request.
Renewals and declined cards
Plans renew automatically. When a new period starts, access for it is granted and its fee becomes due. If your bank declines the charge, our payment operator retries it over the next days; this is the same open invoice, not a second charge. Cancelling while it is open stops later renewals but not the amount already due, and that renewal is not refundable once paid. Cancel before the renewal date shown in your account to avoid it.
How to request a refund
Write to [email protected] from the email address on your account no later than 14 days after the charge, with the date, the amount and the case that applies. Requests that are late, come from another address or arrive any other way are not considered. We handle requests in the order received, with no guaranteed reply time, and declined requests are not reopened.
Records we rely on
Creating an account means accepting our Terms of Service, of which this policy is part, and our Privacy Policy. Checkout shows the plan, price, billing term and automatic renewal before payment, and the confirmation email repeats them.
We retain for each subscription the purchase time, the plan and price shown, your acceptance of the terms, the emails we sent, and the account's activity log, including sign-ins, forms created, testimonials received and widgets published, with the technical details stored for each. Our payment operator keeps its own record of every payment, including card country, where the payment originated and the outcome of bank authentication such as 3D Secure. These are the records unauthorised-charge claims are checked against.
Chargebacks
If you think a charge is wrong, contact us before your bank. Raising a chargeback without doing so breaches our Terms of Service, results in permanent closure of the account, and we provide the records above to your card issuer.
Earlier payments
Payments made before 14 October 2026 remain under the terms in place on the day they were made.
