VideoAsk Pricing: VideoAsk Plans, Cost Per Month and Processing Minute Limits
VideoAsk does not charge for responses, seats or views. It charges for minutes of video and audio processed, and that one detail decides which plan you end up on. Every price below was read on September 10, 2026 from the plan data the VideoAsk pricing page loads for a US visitor, in US dollars, rather than copied from a directory listing.

In short
VideoAsk has a free Start plan and two paid plans. Grow costs $30 a month billed monthly or $288 a year ($24 a month) and includes 100 minutes of video or audio processing a month with up to 5 users. Brand costs $50 a month billed monthly or $480 a year ($40 a month) and includes 200 minutes a month, up to 10 users, your own branding and domain white labeling. Start is free with 20 minutes a month and VideoAsk branding. Minutes are counted whenever you or a respondent records, playback is free, and unused minutes do not roll over, so the plan you need is set by how much video your program creates each month, including your own recordings and replies.
What you get
What a flat plan changes next to VideoAsk pricing
No minute meter to budget
Unlimited video and text testimonials start on our Growth plan at $39 a month, or $32 billed yearly. A busy month of customer clips costs the same as a quiet one.
Your own recordings are not metered
On VideoAsk your question steps and your video replies draw from the same pool as customer answers. Here nothing you record counts against an allowance.
A wall, not a dashboard of responses
Approved clips publish straight to a Wall of Love or widget with one line of embed code, so a video recorded this morning can be on your pricing page this afternoon.
No login for the customer
Customers record from a phone or laptop browser through one request link. No app, no account, and no step limit to squeeze the ask into.
How it works
From one request link to embedded proof in four steps
Estimate minutes, not responses
Multiply the clips you expect by their average length, then add your own question recordings and any video replies. VideoAsk counts all three.
Match that number to a tier
Under 20 minutes a month fits Start. Up to 100 is Grow. Up to 200 is Brand. Past 200, VideoAsk tells you to take Brand first and then buy a larger processing tier.
Decide whether the branding matters
Grow is still partially VideoAsk branded. Your own brand and domain are Brand plan features, which moves the floor to $50 a month whatever your volume.
Price the flat option before you commit
If the job is customer proof rather than async conversations, collect one testimonial with the tool above and compare a flat plan against your minute estimate.
Every plan mixes video testimonials and written quotes in one Wall of Love, and you embed it anywhere with a lightweight testimonial widget.
In depth
VideoAsk pricing, plan by plan
VideoAsk pricing for every plan, in US dollars
Read on September 10, 2026 from the plan data behind videoask.com/pricing for a US visitor. VideoAsk renders prices in the local currency of whoever is looking, which is why European visitors see euro figures on the same page (Grow at 22 euros and Brand from 36 euros a month on yearly billing), and why several directory listings quote numbers a US buyer is never charged.
| Plan | Billed monthly | Billed yearly | Processing minutes | Users | Branding |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Start | $0 | $0 | 20 a month | Up to 3 | VideoAsk branded |
| Grow | $30 a month | $288 a year ($24 a month) | 100 a month | Up to 5 | Partially VideoAsk branded |
| Brand | $50 a month | $480 a year ($40 a month) | 200 a month | Up to 10 | Your own brand, domain white labeling |
Yearly billing is labeled as saving 20 percent, and the arithmetic holds: $288 is exactly 80 percent of twelve months at $30, and $480 is 80 percent of twelve months at $50. VideoAsk also offers discounts for nonprofits, students and educators through an application linked from the same page.
One display detail catches people. With the yearly toggle selected, the page shows Grow as 1,200 minutes per year and Brand as 2,400. That is the monthly allowance multiplied by twelve for display. The plan data carries the same 100 and 200 minute limits on the monthly and the yearly versions, and the pricing FAQ says the processing counter resets each month and unused minutes do not carry over. A yearly plan does not give you a pool to spend in one busy quarter.
What each VideoAsk plan unlocks besides minutes
Minutes set the floor, but three feature gates push a testimonial program up a tier sooner than the meter does. This is what the pricing page lists on each plan.
| Plan | What it adds |
|---|---|
| Start | All core features, data export, conditional logic, Stripe payments, Zapier, appointment scheduling, transcription and captions. Up to 3 steps per videoask. |
| Grow | Unlimited steps, redirect to URL, live calls, NPS, file upload, respondent tracking, hidden fields, video length control, passcode protection, APIs and webhooks, a scheduled close date. |
| Brand | Your own brand or brands in place of VideoAsk branding, domain white labeling, priority support and an AI chatbot. |
The step cap on Start. Three steps covers one question and a closing screen. It does not cover a structured testimonial script, and the scripts that produce usable clips run four to six short prompts, as laid out in our video testimonial script guide. Follow that structure and Start stops working before its 20 minutes do.
Video length control on Grow. This is the most useful setting for keeping a minute bill predictable, because it caps how long each answer can run. Without it, one enthusiastic customer talking for six minutes costs as much as six tight answers.
Branding on Brand. Grow is still partially VideoAsk branded. If the request goes to paying customers under your name, removing that is rarely optional, and it moves your floor from $30 to $50 a month whatever your volume.
How VideoAsk counts minutes, and what a testimonial month costs
VideoAsk counts minutes every time you or your respondents generate video or audio. Playback is unlimited. The pricing FAQ gives its own example: a two step videoask with 30 second steps (1 minute), fifty respondents answering both steps at 30 seconds each (50 minutes), and a video reply to each customer averaging about 2 minutes back and forth (100 minutes), for a total of 151 minutes in the month.
Look at where those minutes went. Two thirds of the bill was follow-up replies, not customer answers. That is VideoAsk working as designed, because conversation is the product. For a testimonial program it means the plan is decided less by how many customers answer than by whether you reply on video.
| Testimonial month | Minutes | Plan that covers it | Cost, monthly or yearly billing |
|---|---|---|---|
| 15 customer clips at 60 seconds, one question recorded | About 16 | Start | $0, VideoAsk branded, 3 steps max |
| 60 clips at 90 seconds, no replies | About 90 | Grow | $30 or $24 a month |
| 60 clips at 90 seconds plus a 60 second video thank you to each | About 150 | Brand | $50 or $40 a month |
| An agency collecting 40 clips at 90 seconds for each of 5 clients | About 300 | Brand with the 350 minute tier | Listed at $67 a month, see the next section |
If you go over, VideoAsk says it keeps processing and requires you to upgrade, and the counter resets each month on your subscription date. The risk sits in recording, so estimate minutes before you choose a plan rather than after the first invoice.
VideoAsk minute packages above 200 minutes
Brand is the last fixed plan. VideoAsk tells anyone planning to process more than 200 minutes a month to subscribe to Brand first and then move to a higher processing tier from the Plan and Billing section. These are the tiers listed under the Brand card on September 10, 2026.
| Processing minutes | Billed monthly | Billed yearly |
|---|---|---|
| 350 a month | $67 a month | $648 a year |
| 500 a month | $93 a month | $888 a year |
| 750 a month | $134 a month | $1,284 a year |
| 1,000 a month | $172 a month | $1,656 a year |
| 2,000 a month | $344 a month | $3,312 a year |
Each option checks out as the Brand plan with a minutes package attached. The menu shows one price per tier and does not say in words whether that price replaces the $50 Brand price or sits on top of it, so read the order summary before you confirm. Either way the shape is the same: a program that grows from 200 to 2,000 minutes a month moves from a $50 bill to one in the hundreds, and the only thing that changed is how much your customers said.
Is VideoAsk worth it for collecting testimonials?
For the job it was built for, yes. VideoAsk is a conversation tool with branching logic, live calls, Stripe payments, appointment scheduling, NPS and async interviews, and its own site lists recruiting, screening, onboarding, lead generation and support next to testimonial collection. If your team uses those, a minute meter is a fair way to bill for them.
For testimonials specifically, the meter charges most for the things that make a program work: more customers, longer stories and personal follow-ups. And the recording is where VideoAsk stops. There is no Wall of Love, no testimonial widget library and no review importing, so every approved clip still has to be downloaded and published by someone on your team.
| For a testimonial program | VideoAsk | Testimonials |
|---|---|---|
| 150 minutes of video a month | Brand, $50 a month ($40 yearly) | Growth, $39 a month ($32 yearly), unlimited video |
| 1,000 minutes of video a month | Brand with the 1,000 minute tier, listed at $172 a month | The same Growth plan, no meter |
| Recordings you make yourself | Count against minutes | Not metered |
| Publishing clips to your site | Download and embed each one | Wall of Love and widgets, one line of code |
| Two way async conversations, live calls, payments | Yes | No |
If what you need is conversations, stay on VideoAsk. If it is proof on your pricing page, the feature by feature comparison is on our VideoAsk alternative page, the category is priced side by side on video testimonial software, and our own plans are on the pricing page.
How to keep a VideoAsk bill on the lower tier
If you are staying on VideoAsk, four changes do most of the work.
| Change | Why it saves minutes |
|---|---|
| Turn on video length control (Grow and up) | Caps every answer, so one long response cannot eat a week of allowance |
| Reply with text instead of video | Replies were two thirds of the VideoAsk worked example |
| Record your question steps once and reuse the videoask | Your own recordings count the moment you create them |
| Offer a text answer beside video | Customers who would ramble on camera often write a tighter quote |
The last point matters for quality as much as cost. A 60 second clip with one specific result in it beats a four minute clip almost every time, which is why our guide on how to ask for a video testimonial starts with the length of answer you want, not the tool you record it in.
Frequently asked
Videoask pricing: the questions people actually ask
How much does VideoAsk cost?
VideoAsk costs $0 on Start, $30 a month on Grow and $50 a month on Brand when billed monthly. Yearly billing is $288 a year for Grow and $480 for Brand, which works out to $24 and $40 a month. Those are US dollar prices read on September 10, 2026. Brand can be extended with processing tiers from 350 to 2,000 minutes a month.
Is VideoAsk free?
Yes, the Start plan is free. It includes 20 minutes of video or audio processing a month, up to 3 steps per videoask and up to 3 users, with VideoAsk branding. That is enough to test the product and run a very small program, roughly fifteen one minute customer clips a month once your question is recorded.
What are the VideoAsk plans?
There are three self-serve plans. Start is free with 20 minutes a month and 3 users. Grow is $30 a month with 100 minutes, 5 users, unlimited steps, APIs and webhooks. Brand is $50 a month with 200 minutes, 10 users, your own branding and domain white labeling, and it can be extended with processing tiers up to 2,000 minutes.
What happens if I go over my VideoAsk minutes?
VideoAsk says it will keep processing video and audio if you go over your limit, but you will be required to upgrade. The counter resets each month on your sign up or subscription date and unused minutes do not carry over, so a quiet month does not bank anything for a busy one.
How are VideoAsk minutes counted?
Minutes are counted every time you or your respondents generate video or audio, and playback is unlimited. Your own question steps and any video replies you send use the same allowance as customer answers. In the worked example on the VideoAsk pricing page, replies account for 100 of the 151 minutes used in the month.
Does VideoAsk have monthly billing?
Yes. Both paid plans can be billed monthly or yearly. Monthly is $30 for Grow and $50 for Brand, and yearly billing saves 20 percent at $288 and $480 a year. The page shows yearly allowances as 1,200 and 2,400 minutes, which is the monthly allowance times twelve rather than a pool you can spend early.
Can I remove VideoAsk branding?
Only on the Brand plan. Start is VideoAsk branded and Grow is partially VideoAsk branded. Brand lets you add your own brand or brands and use domain white labeling, which is why teams sending requests to paying customers often land on Brand at $50 a month regardless of how many minutes they use.
Is VideoAsk owned by Typeform?
Yes. The product is sold as VideoAsk by Typeform and the pricing page carries the Typeform copyright. It has its own pricing page and its own plans, built around processing minutes rather than form responses.
