Employee Testimonial Software and Platform for Employee Video Testimonials

Candidates believe the people who already work for you, not your careers copy. Send your team one link, let each person record a short video or write a few sentences from their phone, approve the ones you like and put them on your careers page and job posts with one line of code. No per-minute meter on video, no app for employees to install.

In short

Employee testimonial software collects short videos and written statements from your own staff about what the job is really like, stores their permission to publish, and displays the approved ones on your careers page, job posts and LinkedIn. Testimonials does it with one request link: employees record or type in the browser with no login, you approve each one, and you embed a wall or slider anywhere. Plans start at $24 a month billed yearly with unlimited text and video, so a 500 person company pays the same as a team of ten.

What you get

What talent teams get from employee testimonial software

One link for the whole company

Post the link in Slack or send it by email. Each employee opens it on a phone or laptop, records a clip or writes an answer, and is done in a couple of minutes. Nobody creates an account and nobody installs an app.

Unlimited video, no processing meter

Some video testimonial tools count processing hours or responses and stop when the year runs out. Every plan here includes unlimited text and video, so a hiring push in the spring does not use up your budget for the fall.

Name, role and consent on every answer

The form captures the employee name and role, plus a consent checkbox with your own wording. HR can see who agreed to what without digging through old email threads.

Careers page, job posts and LinkedIn

Approved testimonials go onto a hosted wall or embed on your careers page as a grid or slider with one line of code. Each clip also has its own link you can drop into job posts, LinkedIn and recruiter outreach.

How it works

From one request link to embedded proof in four steps

01

Write three questions for your team

Ask about the work, not the perks. What did you do this week, what surprised you after joining, who would do well here. Set them once on the request link.

02

Send the link to the people you want

Pick a spread of roles, tenure and locations so every candidate finds someone like them. Growth plans send automated follow-ups to the ones who forget.

03

Approve and tag what comes in

Watch each clip, approve the strongest, and tag them by team or location so the engineering job post shows engineers and the warehouse posting shows the warehouse.

04

Embed on the careers page

Paste one line of code into your careers page or ATS job template. New approvals appear automatically, with no designer and no re-upload.

Every plan mixes video testimonials and written quotes in one Wall of Love, and you embed it anywhere with a lightweight testimonial widget.

Choosing employee testimonial software

Employee testimonial software pricing compared

Most tools in this category were built for customer testimonials and sell employee stories as one more use case, so the price is set by whatever the tool meters. We read each vendor pricing page on October 14, 2026. Prices are US dollars before tax.

ToolPublished priceWhat it metersBest for
Testimonials$24 a month billed yearly ($288), or $49 month to month; Growth $44 ($528); Studio $74 ($888)Nothing on testimonials: unlimited text and video on every planTalent teams that want a careers page wall and clips without a usage meter
Vocal VideoEssential $99 a month billed yearly ($1,188), Pro $149 ($1,788), Scale $249 ($2,988); Enterprise from $1,250 a month; a free plan with 20 minutes a monthVideo processing hours: 4, 6 or 12 a year, plus video requestsTeams that want automatic editing, captions and branded overlays on every clip
VouchNo published price; quoted by salesVouch Content includes 5 admin seats; Employee Advocacy and Recruiter Enablement are paid add-ons, the latter sold in recruiter seat tiersLarger recruiting teams that want recruiter workflows and will take a sales process
TrustmaryPublished plans, see our Trustmary pricing breakdownWidget views, connected sources, survey responses and email requestsTeams that also want surveys and review collection in the same tool

Vocal Video is genuinely stronger at production polish: its collector adds captions, name overlays and your brand automatically, and some teams will pay for that. Vouch has recruiter features we do not, such as recruiter seats and advocacy workflows. Where we win is the bill and the absence of a meter. If you want the full Vocal Video ladder, it is on our Vocal Video pricing page, and a side by side with Vouch is on the Vouch alternative page.

What a usage meter does to a hiring campaign

Recruiting is lumpy. A company that opens forty roles in March and nothing in August needs most of its employee stories in a few weeks, and that is exactly when a metered plan runs out.

MeterHow it bites in recruitingWhat to check before you buy
Processing hours a yearFour hours is 240 minutes. At two takes of 90 seconds per employee, that is about 80 employees a year before you upgradeWhether retakes and drafts count against the hours
Widget viewsA careers page during a hiring push or a viral job post burns views fast. Trustmary says that when the view limit is reached, the widget is hidden until the limit resetsWhat candidates see on your careers page when the cap is hit
SeatsRecruiters, coordinators and the employer brand lead all want accessThe per seat price for recruiters, not only admins
NoneCollect from every location in the busy month, nothing changes on the billWhether the flat plan includes video, not only text

A flat plan does not make sense for everyone. If you need ten polished videos a year and a producer to edit them, a metered tool with automatic editing may be the better spend. If you want dozens of honest clips from across the company, every month, the meter is the thing to avoid.

Where employee testimonials earn their keep

The same clip works harder in some places than others. These are the placements talent teams use most, with the format that fits each one.

PlacementFormatLength that worksWho should be in it
Careers pageWall of video and quotes, filterable by team45 to 90 seconds per clipA spread of roles, levels and locations
Job post in your ATSOne or two clips embedded under the description30 to 60 secondsSomeone in the same team as the open role
LinkedIn company pageNative video, captions onUnder 60 secondsPeople with an active LinkedIn presence
Recruiter outreachLink to a single clip in the email30 to 45 secondsA peer of the candidate, ideally the hiring manager
Offer stageShort wall of the team they would joinAnyTheir future teammates

The job post placement is the one most teams skip and the one with the clearest payoff, because it puts a real teammate in front of the candidate at the moment they decide whether to apply. Tagging each testimonial by team and location when you approve it is what makes this practical, since you can embed only the warehouse stories on warehouse postings. The same wall builder runs our Wall of Love for customer proof, so marketing and HR can share one account.

Questions that get usable employee testimonials

Generic prompts like "Why do you love working here?" produce generic answers that candidates ignore. Specific prompts about real work produce specific answers. These sets come from the patterns we see in strong employee stories.

RoleQuestion 1Question 2Question 3
EngineeringWhat did you ship in your first 90 days? How are decisions made on your team?Who would not enjoy working here?
SalesHow was your first quarter different from what you expected? What does a normal week look like? What helped you hit your number?
Hourly and frontlineWhat is a normal shift like? How did your manager help you in the first month? Why did you stay?
ManagersWhy did you join, and why are you still here? How do people get promoted? What kind of person thrives on your team?

The third question in each row matters most. Candidates trust a testimonial that admits the job is not for everyone, because it reads like an honest colleague rather than a recruiting ad. Keep it to three questions; employees asked five questions tend to rush the last two. For customer stories the logic is the same, and our guide to automated testimonial collection covers the follow-up sequence that gets the stragglers to answer.

Consent, departures and FTC disclosure

Publishing named colleagues raises three questions HR always asks, and the answers are straightforward.

Consent. Every submission records a consent checkbox with wording you control, stored with the testimonial. Write it to cover where you will use the clip: careers page, job posts, social media and recruiting emails. If you plan to use it in paid ads, say so.

Departures. When someone leaves, the clean practice is to take their testimonial down from the careers page, since a candidate who later meets the team will notice. You unapprove it in the dashboard and it disappears from every embed at once, with no need to edit pages.

Disclosure. The FTC Endorsement Guides, at 16 CFR 255.5, treat employment as a material connection that must be disclosed when an employee endorses the company product or service in advertising. A careers page clip about what the job is like is a recruiting statement, not a product endorsement. If you reuse the same person praising your product in a sales ad, show their name and title with the company on screen so the connection is clear. Our FTC testimonial rules guide covers the rest of the rules.

Frequently asked

Employee testimonial software, the questions people actually ask

What is the best employee testimonial software?

It depends on what you want the tool to do. Vocal Video is strongest at automatic editing and branded captions, Vouch adds recruiter seats and advocacy workflows through a sales process, and Testimonials is the simplest flat option: one link, unlimited text and video, and a careers page embed from $24 a month billed yearly.

How much does employee testimonial software cost?

Published prices range widely. Testimonials starts at $24 a month billed yearly with unlimited video. Vocal Video paid plans run $99 to $249 a month billed yearly, with Enterprise from $1,250 a month. Vouch does not publish prices and quotes through sales. Read the meter, not only the price.

How do you collect employee video testimonials?

Send employees a single link with three specific questions. Each person opens it on their phone or laptop, records a short answer in the browser and submits it with their name, role and consent. You review each clip, approve the best ones and embed them on your careers page and job posts.

How long should an employee testimonial video be?

Between 30 and 90 seconds. Under 60 seconds works best on job posts and LinkedIn, where people scroll fast, and up to 90 seconds works on a careers page where a candidate is already researching the company. One concrete story beats a list of perks.

Do you need consent to use employee testimonials?

Yes. Get written permission from each employee that covers where the testimonial will appear, such as the careers page, job posts, social media and ads. Testimonials stores a consent checkbox with your own wording on every submission, so the record sits next to the clip.

Do employee testimonials need an FTC disclosure?

Only when the employee endorses your product or service in advertising. The FTC Endorsement Guides treat employment as a material connection that must be disclosed in that case. A careers page testimonial about the job itself is a recruiting statement, though showing the name and title is good practice anyway.

Can employees record a testimonial on their phone?

Yes. The request link opens in the phone browser and records directly with the front camera, with no app and no account. Employees can also upload a file they already recorded, up to 100 MB in MP4, MOV or WebM.

What happens to an employee testimonial when the person leaves?

Most companies take it down from the careers page, since a candidate who later meets the team will notice the person is gone. In Testimonials you unapprove it in the dashboard and it disappears from every embed at once. Keep the consent record for your files.

Social proof that converts, collected, not chased

Send one link, your customers record a video or text testimonial, and you embed a beautiful wall of proof on your site in minutes. Text and video, unlimited, at one flat price.
