This Privacy Policy explains how Testimonials ("we", "us") collects, uses, and protects information when you visit our website or use our service to collect, manage, and display customer testimonials and reviews. We aim to be plain and honest about what we do with data.

Information we collect

When you create an account we collect your email address and a verification code we send to confirm it. If you contact us, we collect your name, email, and message. We also collect standard technical information such as your IP address, browser type, and the page that referred you, along with any UTM parameters in the link you arrived from.

Testimonials your customers submit

When you send a request link, your customer can record a video or type a text testimonial with their name, a short quote or recording, and optionally a company, role, avatar, and rating. Consent to display that testimonial is captured at the moment your customer submits it, so you have permission to publish their words and video on your site. This content is submitted to you, through us, so that you can manage and display it. We process it on your behalf to operate your walls and widgets.

How we use information

• To create and secure your account and confirm your email.
• To collect testimonials through your request links, store them, and render your Wall of Love, carousels, and widgets.
• To send you product communications about your access and account.
• To respond to your messages and provide support.
• To understand how the site is used and improve the product.

Data ownership

The testimonials you collect are yours. You control what gets published, you can export your testimonials, and you can remove them at any time. We do not sell your testimonials and we do not reuse your customers' content for our own marketing without your permission.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information and we do not sell the testimonials you collect. We share information only with service providers who help us operate the service (for example, email delivery, video and file storage, and analytics), under contracts that require them to protect it, or where required by law. Testimonials you choose to display are, by design, shown publicly on the pages where you embed them.

Cookies and analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies for essential site functions and to understand how the site is used. We use Microsoft Clarity for product analytics, which may record aggregated usage and interaction data to help us improve the experience. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

Data retention

We keep account and contact information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service, then delete or anonymize it. Testimonials you collect are retained while your account is active and while you choose to display them, and are deleted when you remove them or close your account. You can ask us to delete your information at any time.

Security and encryption

We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and at rest and access controls. Video and files are stored securely. Enterprise plans add SSO, role-based access, audit logging, and additional options.

GDPR and CCPA

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to opt out of the sale of personal information (we do not sell it). For testimonials submitted by your customers, you generally act as the controller and we act as your processor. You can exercise these rights, or ask us to help a customer exercise theirs, by emailing [email protected].

Your choices

You can access, correct, or delete your information, and you can opt out of non-essential email at any time. To request deletion of your account or data, email [email protected].
