REVIEWS.io is cheaper than Yotpo for almost every Shopify store that wants Google Seller Ratings or more than a few hundred review requests a month, and Yotpo is cheaper for very small stores that only need photo reviews and stars in Google Shopping. REVIEWS.io meters review invites: on its website, Essentials is $29 a month for 300 invites and Start-Up is $79 for 1,000, with 20% off yearly. Yotpo Reviews meters orders: $0 up to 50 orders, $15 to $129 a month on Starter and $119 to $379 a month on Pro. At 1,500 orders a month that is about $90 against $269.

Both figures were read on October 12, 2026. REVIEWS.io prices come from its own pricing page with the United States selected, plus its Shopify App Store listing, which sells a different set of smaller plans. Yotpo prices come from the order slider behind its own pricing page and its Shopify App Store listing. All prices are US dollars and exclude sales tax.

The table hides one thing that decides most of these comparisons: the two apps count different units. An order and an invite are usually the same number for a store that asks every buyer for a review, but not always. A store that only asks repeat buyers, or skips refunds and wholesale orders, sends fewer invites than it takes orders, and REVIEWS.io gets cheaper still.

REVIEWS.io vs Yotpo pricing at your order volume

Here is the monthly bill on the website plans, assuming one review invite per order. The first two columns are the cheapest plan that covers the volume. The last two are the cheapest plan that also includes Google Seller Ratings, the stars under a Google Ads text ad.

Orders a monthREVIEWS.io cheapestYotpo cheapestREVIEWS.io with Seller RatingsYotpo with Seller Ratings

5,000$130$379$130$379
7,500$325 (Grow)Premium, quoted by sales$325Premium, quoted by sales

Two jumps explain the gap. Yotpo Starter more than doubles at 200 orders ($24 to $59), and it stops being offered at 1,000 orders, so a growing store moves from $129 to at least $269 on Pro whether or not it wanted Pro features. REVIEWS.io's Start-Up plan instead stretches from 1,000 to 5,000 invites for $79 to $130. The REVIEWS.io volume steps above 1,000 come from the price list behind its order slider, read in September 2026; the plan cards were unchanged on October 12. Our REVIEWS.io pricing and Yotpo pricing pages carry every step of both ladders.

What the REVIEWS.io Shopify plans change

If you install REVIEWS.io from the Shopify App Store, you see a different ladder from the one on reviews.io. The listing shows Free with 25 invites a month, Launch at $19 a month with 50 invites, and Launch Plus at $45 a month with 500 invites, each with a 14 day trial and billed through Shopify. Launch lists Google Seller Ratings, Google rich snippets, Review Booster for past customers and automated follow ups. Launch Plus adds surveys including NPS, AI review summaries, Q&A and multiple users. The Free card also lists Klaviyo.

For a small Shopify store that changes the answer. At 50 orders a month, Launch at $19 gets you seller ratings that cost $119 on Yotpo Pro. At 400 orders, Launch Plus at $45 sits under Yotpo Starter at $89 and well under Yotpo Pro at $169. The Shopify plans stop at 500 invites, so past that point you are back on the website plans in the table above.

REVIEWS.io vs Yotpo over a year

Both vendors discount yearly billing, but in different places. Yotpo's Shopify listing prices Starter at $144 a year (save 20%) and Pro at $1,068 a year (save 25%) at the entry order band. REVIEWS.io takes 20% off every plan when you switch to yearly in its dashboard after signing up.

StoreREVIEWS.io, yearlyYotpo, yearly
Under 50 orders, Google Shopping stars$756 (Start-Up) or $228 on Shopify Launch$144 (Starter)
Under 300 orders, Google Seller Ratings$756 (Start-Up)$1,068 (Pro)
1,500 orders, Klaviyo and Seller RatingsAbout $864 (Start-Up at $90, less 20%)$3,228 at monthly rates; Yotpo publishes no yearly price above the entry band

At the smallest size Yotpo Starter wins outright, and we would pick it for a new store that only wants photo reviews and stars in Google Shopping. Everywhere else the yearly gap runs from a few hundred dollars to more than $2,000.

Is REVIEWS.io better than Yotpo?

For most Shopify stores past their first few hundred orders, yes on price, and roughly even on features. REVIEWS.io puts Google Seller Ratings, Klaviyo and review importing on its $79 plan, and it lets you collect company reviews alongside product reviews on every plan. Yotpo has the larger install base and rating count on Shopify, and its Pro plan adds AI review summaries, smart sorting and custom questions. If you already pay for Yotpo Loyalty, keeping reviews in the same suite has real value.

When Yotpo is the better buy

You are a new store under 200 orders a month. Yotpo Free covers 50 orders and Starter is $15 to $24 a month with photo and video reviews and Google Shopping. REVIEWS.io's website plans start at $29.

You already run Yotpo Loyalty or SMS. One vendor, one dashboard and one contract is worth something, and Yotpo sells reviews, loyalty and SMS as products that work together.

You are past 6,000 orders and want an enterprise contract. Yotpo Premium and Enterprise are sales quotes, and at that size the quote is what you compare, not a published card.

When REVIEWS.io is the better buy

You want Google Seller Ratings without a $119 entry. It is on Start-Up at $79 on the website and on Launch at $19 through Shopify.

You send review requests by text. REVIEWS.io includes 100 SMS invites a month from Start-Up and sells more as an add-on. If texting customers becomes a channel of its own, run it on an SMS platform built for TCPA consent rather than stretching a review app's quota, because opt-in records matter more than price once you text at scale.

You are between 1,000 and 5,000 orders. This is the band where Yotpo forces Pro and REVIEWS.io stays on Start-Up, and the bill is about a third of Yotpo's.

Can I switch from Yotpo to REVIEWS.io?

Yes. REVIEWS.io's own FAQ says you can import existing reviews from platforms including Yotpo, Okendo and Trustpilot with ratings, timestamps and authorship preserved, so your Google Seller Ratings history carries over. Review importing sits on Start-Up and above on the website plans. Export your Yotpo reviews before you cancel, and keep both apps running for a few days while the widgets swap over.

What neither app collects

Both apps are built to ask a buyer for a star rating after an order arrives. That is the right tool for product pages. It is the wrong tool for the testimonials that sell a brand: a wholesale buyer explaining why they reorder, a customer recording a 40 second video about the problem you solved, a quote with permission to run in an ad. Neither app sends a named customer your own questions on a request link, and neither stores consent per testimonial for use outside the review widget.

That is the job we do. One request link goes to the customer by email or text, they write or record a video answer in the browser with no login, and the answer lands in your library with their permission to publish attached. It shows on a hosted Wall of Love or anywhere on your store through a one line testimonial widget, and the price does not move with orders, invites or video: Starter is $49 a month or $288 a year. Many Shopify brands run a review app for product stars and use us for the brand story next to it. Our Shopify testimonials page shows how the two sit together, and if you are still weighing other review apps, the Loox vs Yotpo and REVIEWS.io vs Judge.me comparisons use the same order volume method.
