Testimonial.to's $25 paid plan gives you the same number of video testimonials as its free plan: two, in total, forever. Senja's $29 plan gives you unlimited video. That four dollar gap is the single largest difference between these two products, and it is buried three rows down a pricing table on one side and stated plainly on the other. Everything else in this comparison is a matter of which shape of team you are.
Both prices were read from each vendor's own pricing page on September 5, 2026. The rest of this article works through what each one meters, what several brands cost on each, and which of the two is the wrong purchase for which buyer.
Testimonial.to vs Senja: the short version
| Testimonial.to | Senja | |
|---|---|---|
| What the price meters | Spaces (brands) | Projects and seats |
| Testimonial volume metered | Yes, below Ultimate | No, unlimited on every paid plan |
| Free plan | 2 video and 10 text testimonials, total | 15 video and text testimonials |
| Entry paid price | $25 per month (Starter) | $29 per month (Starter) |
| Video on the entry paid plan | 2 video testimonials, total | Unlimited |
| Cheapest plan with unlimited video | Ultimate, $50 per month per space | Starter, $29 per month |
| Second brand costs | Another full subscription | Included on Pro, then $10 per month |
| Extra seats | Not published as a line item | $5 per month past the plan allowance |
| Top published tier | Ultimate+, $95 per month per space | Pro, $59 per month |
| Best for | One brand that needs SOC 2 and enterprise terms | Almost everyone else, and especially video |
Prices come from the vendors, not from roundups. Senja from senja.io/pricing and Testimonial.to from testimonial.to/pricing, both read September 5, 2026. Vendors in this category change prices several times a year, so verify before you buy.
How much does Testimonial.to cost?
| Plan | Price | Video testimonials | Spaces | Branding |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | 2 video and 10 text, total | 1 | "White-label widgets" |
| Starter | $25 per month, $300 a year | 2 video, total | 1 | "White-label widgets" |
| Ultimate | $50 per month per space, $600 a year | Unlimited | 1, more at $600 a year each | "Remove Testimonial branding" |
| Ultimate+ | $95 per month per space, $1,140 a year | Unlimited | 1, more at $1,140 a year each | "Remove Testimonial branding" |
| Enterprise | Custom | Custom usage limits | Custom | Included, plus SSO and SOC 2 Type II |
Two details in that table matter more than the headline prices. The first is the word "total" on the video allowance. Those two videos are a lifetime cap on the plan, not a monthly refill, so a business that collects two clips in March has no video capacity left in April unless it upgrades. The second is "per space". Ultimate is not a $50 a month account, it is a $50 a month brand, and the second brand is a second subscription at the same price.
How much does Senja cost?
| Plan | Price | Testimonials | Projects | Seats |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | 15 video and text | 1 | 1 |
| Starter | $29 per month | Unlimited | 1 | 2 |
| Pro | $59 per month | Unlimited | 5, then $10 per month each | 5, then $5 per month each |
Senja publishes a yearly option described as "2 months free", so the annual equivalents land near $290 and $590 rather than $348 and $708. Custom branding arrives at Starter, described on the pricing page as "Replace Senja's branding with your own, powered by Brand Kit".
The structural point is that Senja does not meter testimonials. Collect four hundred of them on the $29 plan and the price does not move. What moves the price is adding a separate brand or adding a colleague, which is a very different cost curve and suits a very different buyer.
The four dollars that separate two videos from unlimited
Put the two entry plans side by side and the comparison stops being close. Testimonial.to Starter is $25 a month and allows two video testimonials in total. Senja Starter is $29 a month and allows unlimited video. To get unlimited video from Testimonial.to you go to Ultimate at $50 a month, which is 72 percent more than Senja charges for the same freedom.
This is worth dwelling on because of how people shop for this software. Almost nobody buys a testimonial tool for text alone; the reason to pay for one at all is usually that you want customers on camera and you do not want to run that process over email. If video is the job, Testimonial.to's Starter plan does not do the job, and its price sits close enough to Senja's that a buyer scanning the two numbers can easily miss it.
To be fair to Testimonial.to, it is not hiding this. The allowance is written on the plan. It is a segmentation decision, and the tier that removes it also adds the branding removal and the features a larger buyer wants. But a buyer comparing $25 against $29 is comparing the wrong two numbers, and should be comparing $50 against $29.
Does Testimonial.to charge per space?
Yes, and it is the single most expensive characteristic of the product for anyone running more than one brand. Ultimate is $50 a month per space and Ultimate+ is $95 a month per space, so a second brand does not add a line item, it adds another full subscription. Senja takes the opposite approach: Pro includes five projects for $59 a month, and each additional project is $10 a month.
Here is what that does at realistic brand counts, using the published rates and monthly billing on both sides.
| Brands | Testimonial.to Ultimate | Senja Pro | Difference |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | $600 a year | $708 a year | Testimonial.to cheaper by $108 |
| 3 | $1,800 a year | $708 a year | Senja cheaper by $1,092 |
| 5 | $3,000 a year | $708 a year | Senja cheaper by $2,292 |
| 10 | $6,000 a year | $1,308 a year | Senja cheaper by $4,692 |
The crossover happens at the second brand and never comes back. That single row is why agencies, holding companies and any business running several product lines end up on one side of this comparison and single-product companies end up on the other.
It is also why the phrase "white label" needs reading carefully on this pair. Testimonial.to lists "White-label widgets" on its free and Starter plans, then lists "Remove Testimonial branding" as an Ultimate feature. Those read like the same promise and sit at different prices. We unpacked what the term actually covers across the category, and what running client brands costs on each pricing model, on the white label testimonial software page.
Is Senja's free plan better than Testimonial.to's?
For most people yes, though the two free tiers are shaped differently enough that it depends on what you are testing. Senja gives 15 testimonials with no split between text and video, so you can spend all fifteen on video if video is what you want to trial. Testimonial.to gives 10 text and 2 video, which is enough to see the interface and not enough to see whether your customers will actually record.
Both caps are lifetime totals rather than monthly allowances, which is the detail that decides how long a free plan lasts. Fifteen testimonials is roughly one good collection push for a small business, so treat either free tier as an evaluation rather than a plan you will stay on. That is the honest use for both.
Which one should you actually pay for?
| If you are | What decides it | The reasonable pick |
|---|---|---|
| One brand, text testimonials only, tight budget | Sticker price | Testimonial.to Starter at $25, the cheapest paid entry here |
| One brand and you want video | The 2 video lifetime cap | Senja Starter at $29, unlimited video |
| An agency or a multi-brand company | Per space billing | Not Testimonial.to Ultimate. Senja Pro, or a flat plan |
| A team of eight or more | $5 a month per seat past five | Compare Senja Pro plus seats against a plan with unlimited seats |
| Buying through procurement | SOC 2 Type II and SSO | Testimonial.to, which publishes both on Enterprise |
| Pre-revenue and testing the idea | Free tier depth | Senja free, 15 testimonials, video included |
The procurement row is the one people forget. If your buyer has a security questionnaire, a published SOC 2 Type II attestation shortens the process by weeks, and Testimonial.to lists one on its Enterprise plan. That is a real advantage and it is worth more than a pricing difference to a company that needs it.
Where we fit, and where we do not
We build Testimonials, so read this section knowing that. Our model is flat: unlimited text and video, unlimited walls, brands and seats, with nothing that meters as you grow. Starter is $180 a year, Growth is $384 a year, and Studio, which carries unlimited brands and white-label embeds, is $780 a year.
Against Senja at one brand, that is not obviously a better deal and we will not pretend it is. Senja Starter at $29 a month is unlimited on the thing most people care about, and Senja has a free tier while we have none. If you are a solo founder with one product, Senja is a genuinely good answer and the honest recommendation.
The case for a flat plan starts where both of these start charging for growth: extra brands, extra seats, extra spaces. An agency running ten client brands pays $1,308 a year on Senja Pro and $6,000 on Testimonial.to Ultimate, against $780 flat, and the agency running twenty-five pays $3,108, $15,000 and $780 respectively. Agencies also tend to accumulate seats faster than product companies do, because account managers rotate and clients ask for access, and seats are the second meter on that list. Teams that reach this stage usually find the repeatable parts of client work are the ones worth taking off manual, whether that is the collection request or the rest of the campaign motion they run on autopilot across every client.
There are longer, one-at-a-time breakdowns of both products on the Senja alternative and Testimonial.to alternative pages, including where each is genuinely stronger than us. The whole category, nine tools with what each one meters, sits in a single table on best testimonial software. If the decision is really about collecting video rather than about these two vendors, video testimonial software compares the meters that matter for video specifically.
The question to ask before you buy either
Both of these are good products and the feature lists overlap heavily. Neither will be the reason your testimonial program works or fails, because that is decided by whether you ask at the right moment and whether recording is easy enough that customers finish. What the choice does decide is how your bill behaves in eighteen months.
So price the shape you expect to be, not the shape you are. If you will still be one brand with two people, take the cheapest plan that includes unlimited video and stop thinking about it. If you can see three brands or a team of eight in the next year, run the arithmetic on that row instead, because both of these tools charge for exactly that growth and the gap between the models widens every time you add one.
