For most Shopify stores, Judge.me is the cheaper buy: it is free with unlimited photo and video reviews, and its only paid plan is $15 a month at any order volume. Klaviyo Reviews is free up to 50 orders a month, then $25 at 250 orders, $90 at 1,000 and $500 at 10,000, on top of your Klaviyo email plan. What Klaviyo charges for is one system: reviews, review requests and the customer profile all live inside the tool that already sends your email and SMS.

So the real question is not which app collects reviews better. Both do the basics. It is whether keeping reviews inside Klaviyo is worth $75 a month at 1,000 orders, or $485 a month at 10,000, compared with connecting Judge.me to Klaviyo instead. Every price below was read in September 2026: Klaviyo's from the Reviews calculator on its own pricing page, stepped through every stop, and Judge.me's from its Shopify App Store listing, in US dollars.

How much does Klaviyo Reviews cost?

Klaviyo Reviews is priced as an add-on by monthly orders, not by contacts, so it does not move when your email list grows. The calculator on Klaviyo's pricing page has sixteen stops. These are the ones a Shopify store is likely to land on; all sixteen, with the cost per order and where a store between two stops ends up, are on our Klaviyo Reviews pricing page.

Orders a monthKlaviyo Reviews per monthPer order
50$0$0
250$2510 cents
1,000$909 cents
2,000$175about 9 cents
3,500$300about 9 cents
10,000$5005 cents
15,000$7505 cents
25,000$1,0004 cents
100,000$2,0002 cents

Three details from Klaviyo's help center decide what you actually pay. An "order" is a "Ready to review" event, so an order you exclude with the klaviyo_reviews_exclude tag does not count. Review requests sent to past customers do not count toward the plan either. And when you pass your plan's limit, you either upgrade or pause review requests until the next billing cycle. That last one matters in November: a store on the 1,000 order stop that does 2,400 orders over Black Friday has to move up two stops or stop asking for reviews during its best month.

The Reviews line sits on top of the rest of your Klaviyo bill. Klaviyo's free marketing plan covers up to 250 active profiles and 500 email sends a month, so a store with a real list already pays for email by profile count, and Reviews is added to that.

Is Judge.me really free?

Yes, and not as a trial. Judge.me's Forever Free plan on its Shopify listing includes unlimited product and store reviews, unlimited photo and video reviews, the review widget and star badge, carousels, Google rich snippets, a trust badge, sync with the Shop app, Etsy and Amazon, and a reviews importer. There is no order limit on the listing.

The $15 Awesome plan adds the things a growing store usually wants: AI replies, summaries and translations, more than 130 integrations including Klaviyo and Gorgias, 16 widgets, automatic reminders, coupons and referrals, Google Shopping, Meta and TikTok Shop sync, and custom CSS. It has a 15 day trial, and $15 is the whole price whether you ship 300 orders a month or 30,000.

Can I use Judge.me with Klaviyo?

Yes. Klaviyo is one of the integrations listed on Judge.me's $15 Awesome plan, which lets review events and review requests run through your Klaviyo flows while the reviews themselves stay in Judge.me. This is the setup most stores in the middle of the market end up with: Judge.me for collection and display, Klaviyo for the emails, and one $15 line instead of an order-based one.

What you give up is the single system. Reviews stay in Judge.me's database, not on the Klaviyo profile natively, so segmenting "customers who left a four star review on product X" depends on what the integration passes across. For most stores that is enough. For a retention team that builds dozens of flows off review data, it is the reason to pay Klaviyo.

What each costs at your order volume

Your storeJudge.meKlaviyo ReviewsDifference a year
New store, 40 orders a month$0$0$0
200 orders a month, reminders and Klaviyo flows wanted$15 (Awesome)$25$120
1,000 orders a month$15$90$900
3,000 orders a month$15$300$3,420
10,000 orders a month$15$500$5,820

At the bottom of the market the two are close enough that convenience can decide it. Above about 1,000 orders a month, the gap is large enough to pay for a meaningful part of your email plan, and the case for Klaviyo Reviews has to rest on what the single profile is worth to your flows. The same order-metered pattern, with a harder cap, is on our Loox pricing page, and every order band of the other Klaviyo-friendly option is on Okendo pricing.

Is Klaviyo Reviews better than Judge.me?

Klaviyo Reviews is better for a brand that runs its whole retention program in Klaviyo and wants reviews on the same customer profile as email and SMS, with no second vendor. Judge.me is better on price at every volume and on display breadth: more widgets and more sales channel syncs, free or at $15. For a typical Shopify store, Judge.me connected to Klaviyo covers most of what Klaviyo Reviews does for less.

There is one more thing to weigh. A one-star review about a late parcel is usually a support ticket that landed in the wrong place. Whichever app collects it, the fix is getting that customer an answer fast, and a store that already runs customer service software that answers and resolves order questions tends to see fewer of those reviews in the first place.

Does Klaviyo Reviews work with Shopify?

Yes. Klaviyo's help center says Reviews is available for Shopify and WooCommerce stores only. That makes it the one clear win for Klaviyo in this pairing: Judge.me sunset its WooCommerce, BigCommerce, Squarespace and Wix apps in January 2026 and is now a Shopify app. A WooCommerce store choosing between these two effectively has one option. On BigCommerce, Wix or a custom cart, neither applies.

Which should you pay for?

Three questions settle it for most stores.

How much of your revenue already runs through Klaviyo flows? If post-purchase, winback and replenishment flows drive a large share of repeat revenue and your team edits them weekly, reviews on the same profile are worth something real, and Klaviyo Reviews is the tidy choice. If Klaviyo sends a newsletter and an abandoned cart email, you are paying order-based prices for an integration you will not use.

Where will your order count be in twelve months? Klaviyo Reviews is priced for growth: $25 at 250 orders becomes $175 at 2,000. Judge.me stays at $15. Price the app you will need at the end of the year, not the one you need today, and check how your November peak lands on Klaviyo's stops.

Are you on Shopify? If you run WooCommerce, the decision is made, because Judge.me no longer serves that platform. On Shopify, start on Judge.me's free plan, connect Klaviyo when you upgrade to Awesome, and move to Klaviyo Reviews only if your retention team runs into a limit of the integration.

The thing neither app does

Both are product review apps. They attach a star rating and a line of text to a SKU, which is exactly what a product page needs. That is a different asset from a testimonial. A product review says the serum absorbed quickly. A testimonial says who the customer is, what problem they had and what changed, with a name, a face and recorded permission to publish it, and it belongs on your homepage, your about page and your wholesale or subscription landing pages, none of which have a SKU for a review app to attach to.

That is the job we built for. You send one link, the customer records a video or writes a quote in the browser with no login, and you approve it into a Wall of Love or a widget on any page. Plans are flat, from $49 a month, with no order meter. How brand testimonials sit next to a review app on one theme is covered on Shopify testimonials, and if Loox is also on your shortlist, Judge.me vs Loox runs the same numbers for the photo-first app.
