For a Shopify or DTC store that wants star ratings under its products, Yotpo is the cheaper and better fitted buy: Yotpo Reviews runs $15 to $129 a month on Starter and $119 to $379 on Pro, priced by monthly orders, with month-to-month plans available. Trustpilot starts at $99 a month on Starter and $319 on Plus, per domain, on a 12 month prepaid contract, and product reviews are an add-on on every plan. Trustpilot earns its price for a different job: a public, third party company profile that shoppers check before they trust a store they have never heard of.
So the useful question is not which tool collects reviews better. It is whether your buyers look you up on Trustpilot. If they do, you are paying for a reputation platform, and Yotpo cannot replace it. If they do not, you are paying roughly $3,800 a year at the Plus floor for something your product pages do not need. Every price below was read in September 2026, Yotpo's from the price list behind the order slider on its own pricing page and Trustpilot's from its pricing page and plan comparison table, in US dollars.

How much does Yotpo cost per month?
Yotpo Reviews costs $0 up to 50 orders a month, then $15 to $129 on Starter and $119 to $379 on Pro, depending on the orders your store takes. Starter is not offered above 999 orders and Pro stops at 5,999; past that, Premium and Enterprise are quoted by sales. Loyalty, SMS and email are separate Yotpo products with their own prices.
| Orders a month | Yotpo Starter | Yotpo Pro |
|---|---|---|
| 0 to 99 | $15 | $119 |
| 100 to 199 | $24 | $119 |
| 200 to 299 | $59 | $119 |
| 300 to 599 | $89 | $169 |
| 600 to 999 | $129 | $269 |
| 1,000 to 1,999 | Not offered | $269 |
| 2,000 to 2,999 | Not offered | $299 |
| 3,000 to 3,999 | Not offered | $329 |
| 4,000 to 5,999 | Not offered | $379 |
The line that matters most for a growing store is Pro. Google Seller Ratings, the Klaviyo integration and multi-user access start there, so a brand that needs any of them pays at least $119 a month even at low volume. Multi-store and API access sit on Premium. The full ladder, and how it compares with the other order-metered apps, is on our Yotpo pricing page.
How much does Trustpilot cost per month?
Trustpilot costs $0 on Free with 50 review invitations a month, then from $99 a month on Starter, $319 on Plus and $799 on Premium, each per domain and billed annually on a 12 month prepaid contract. Enterprise is quoted by sales. Those are floors: Trustpilot says a quote reflects site traffic, business size per domain and annual revenue.
| Plan | From, per month | From, per year | Invitations a month | Users |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | $0 | 50 | 1 |
| Starter | $99 | $1,188 | 100 | 1 |
| Plus | $319 | $3,828 | 300 | 3 |
| Premium | $799 | $9,588 | 1,000 | 10 |
| Enterprise | Quoted | Quoted | Unlimited | 1,000 |
Three details change the budget for an ecommerce brand. Product Reviews is an add-on on Starter, Plus, Premium and Enterprise, never included. Marketing integrations are zero on Free and Starter and 22 from Plus up, so review requests sent from your email platform start at $319 a month. And every domain is priced separately. The plan by plan feature table, including where testimonial widgets and API access start, is on our Trustpilot pricing page.
What each one costs at your order volume
Here is a store inviting every buyer, priced on the cheapest plan of each tool that covers it. Trustpilot counts invitations rather than orders, so the rows use one invitation per order; you can invite a subset to stay on a lower plan, at the cost of fewer reviews.
| Orders a month | Yotpo, cheapest plan | Yotpo with Pro features | Trustpilot, cheapest plan |
|---|---|---|---|
| 100 | $24 on Starter | $119 on Pro | $99 on Starter (if eligible), else $319 on Plus |
| 300 | $89 on Starter | $169 on Pro | $319 on Plus |
| 800 | $129 on Starter | $269 on Pro | $799 on Premium |
| 2,500 | $299 on Pro | $299 on Pro | Enterprise quote |
Two things to add before you compare totals. Trustpilot's figures need the Product Reviews add-on if you want stars under products, which Yotpo includes. And Trustpilot's yearly commitment means the 300 order row is a $3,828 decision, while Yotpo's FAQ offers month-to-month plans, so its $89 need not be a yearly commitment.
Is Yotpo better than Trustpilot?
For on-site product reviews, yes. Yotpo is built to collect reviews from verified buyers and show them where the purchase happens, it includes product reviews rather than selling them as a module, and it costs less at every volume above. Trustpilot is better at something Yotpo does not attempt: a neutral public profile, outside your control, that a first-time buyer can check.
That difference is the whole decision. Reviews you collect and display on your own site are persuasive, but a skeptical shopper knows you chose which ones to show. A Trustpilot score is visible on a site you do not own, and anyone can post to it, which is exactly why some buyers trust it more and why some brands would rather not have one. If you sell something expensive, new or easy to be scammed on, such as supplements, electronics, travel or financial products, shoppers are more likely to look you up there, and that is when Trustpilot earns its $3,828.
Can you use Yotpo and Trustpilot together?
Yes, and plenty of mid-size brands do: Yotpo for product reviews and photos on the store, Trustpilot for the company-level score in search results and on the footer badge. The cost is two review requests landing in the same customer's inbox unless you split them, for example Yotpo asking about the product a week after delivery and Trustpilot asking about the service on a subset of orders. Keep the Trustpilot invitations to the plan's allowance and you avoid moving up a tier just to invite everyone twice.
If the plan is to reuse customer photos in paid social, remember that a phone snapshot under a product page rarely works as an ad. Brands that lean on UGC in their ad accounts usually end up briefing real UGC creators for footage shot for the format, and keep the review app for what it does well.
Which one should you pay for?
Buy Yotpo if your goal is conversion on product pages, you want to start cheap on a month-to-month plan, and your customers do not search for your brand on Trustpilot. Start on Starter, and move to Pro when you need seller ratings or the Klaviyo integration.
Buy Trustpilot if shoppers check review sites before trusting you, you want a public score that you do not control, or a retail or finance partner asks for one. Budget the yearly total, not the monthly figure, and ask for the Product Reviews add-on in the quote if you also want stars on products. If you are a Shopify store weighing Trustpilot against a cheaper app, Judge.me vs Trustpilot runs the same comparison against a $15 app.
The job neither of them does
Both tools deal in reviews: a star rating and a few lines, attached either to a product or to your company profile. Neither is built to get a customer to say, on camera or in their own words, who they are, what problem they had and what changed, with permission to put that on your homepage, your about page or your wholesale landing page. Trustpilot only offers testimonial widgets from Premium at $799 a month, and they show written reviews.
That is the job we built for. You send one link, the customer records a video or writes a quote in the browser with no login, consent is captured with the submission, and you approve it into a Wall of Love or a widget on any page. Plans are flat, from $49 a month or $288 a year, with no order meter, no invitation allowance and no per domain price. How brand testimonials sit alongside a review app on one store is covered on Shopify testimonials.
